Update:16-02-2023
What is the communication filter device?
The communication filter is a hardware device that can filter electronic communications. In particular, the communication filter can receive one or more filtering requests and apply one or more filtering rules to a set of electronic communications and meeting notices to generate a set of filtered communications.
What is the client device?
The client device includes data storage 310, network communications interface module 320, processor(s) 330, and user interface module 340. The client device can retrieve electronic communications 312 and meeting notices 314 from data storage 310 and apply one or more filtering rules to those electronic communications and meeting notices to generate filtered communications 336.
What is the filtering rule?
The filtering rule is a set of instructions that can be stored in data storage 310, executed by processor(s) 330, and used to generate a set of filtered communications. For example, a filtering rule may be a set of instructions that can be used to determine if an e-mail is appropriate for sending to a particular recipient or not.
What is the user-oriented output?
The user-oriented output can be generated by the filtering rule and can include the filtered electronic communication being sent to a recipient, a meeting notice being displayed on a display screen, etc. The user-oriented output can also be a set of filtering rules that can be applied to the filtered electronic communication to generate a graphical user interface, for example.
